Faster speeds and more device connections
TP-Link has announced a refresh of its Deco line of mesh router systems that now includes support for the new Wi-Fi 6 protocol. The new Deco Mesh Wi-Fi 6 systems come in three different speed tiers,They will be available soon
The top of the range is the AED 1700 Deco X90, which has a tri-band system and can cover up to 6,000 square feet. TP-Link says that its “dynamic backhaul” technology can utilize all three bands (one 2.4GHz band and two 5GHz bands) to connect the mesh units for better speed and stability, and it supports up to 200 device connections. The X90 comes in a two-pack and includes a 2.5 Gbps WAN port for high-speed internet connections up to 1 Gbps.
The two other new systems are the dual-band TP-Link Deco X60, which eliminates the backhaul, but still offers top speeds of up to 2,402Mbps on the 5GHz channel. That one brings the cost down to AED 990 for a two-pack, and it includes a 2.5Gbps WAN port to allow for multigig incoming internet speeds.
A third system, the dual-band, budget-priced TP-Link Deco X20, is even less expensive, with a tempting price tag of only AED 700 for a two-piece setup. Speeds are capped at 1,201Mbps on the 5GHz band, but that's still significantly faster than the previous-gen Deco P9,which capped things at 867Mbps.
